BBC Factual Announces Documentary 'America's New Female Right' for BBC Three

BBC Factual has commissioned a one-off documentary, America’s New Female Right, produced by BAFTA award-winning Mindhouse Productions, exploring the rise of a new wave of young, ultra-conservative female influencers in the US who are promoting extreme and anti-feminist views on social media. The documentary will air on BBC Three and be available on iPlayer from Monday, September 2.

Against the backdrop of the presidential election, British journalist Layla Wright travels from Liverpool to the US to immerse herself in this growing community, aiming to understand what drives these women to advocate for a rollback of hard-earned rights and spread controversial opinions. From Nashville to the Arizona-Mexico border, Wright will provide insight into the surprising trend of young women embracing anti-progressive politics and the impact of their online content on the real world.
