BBC Goes Big onProms This Summer With Mammoth 24 Concerts

This summer, the BBC will broadcast 24 concerts from the 2024 Proms season on BBC TV and iPlayer, offering a diverse range of musical experiences to viewers and listeners.

The season, running from 19 July to 14 September, will feature leading orchestras, conductors, and soloists from the UK and worldwide. All 24 Proms will be available to watch on iPlayer, with presentations from Clive Myrie, Katie Derham, Petroc Trelawny, and more.

Clive Myrie will present the First Night of the Proms on BBC Two, airing on 19 July, featuring Elim Chan conducting the BBC Symphony Orchestra, alongside pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason and soprano Sophie Bevan. Andi Oliver will host ‘Disco at the Proms’, while Katie Derham will present ‘Sir Mark Elder’s Farewell to the Hallé’, which will air live on BBC Four on 21 July.

The full list of TV presenters includes Clive Myrie, Katie Derham, Petroc Trelawny, Georgia Mann, Katya Adler, Clara Amfo, Jess Gillam, Andi Oliver, Tom Service, and Linton Stephens, who makes his debut.

With a mix of live and recorded broadcasts, the BBC Proms will bring the magic of live music to homes across the country.
