The BBC has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated series A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, based on Holly Jackson’s bestselling novels. All episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer from 1 July, with the series airing on BBC Three later that month.
The six-part series stars Emma Myers as Pip Fitz-Amobi, a high school senior who investigates the murder of her classmate Andie Bell, killed five years prior. Myers is joined by a stellar cast, including Anna Maxwell Martin, Gary Beadle, Mathew Baynton, and newcomer Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh.
The trailer offers fans their first glimpse of Myers in action as Pip. As she digs into the past, she uncovers secrets and lies, drawing her into the dark underside of Little Kilton.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is adapted by Poppy Cogan and directed by Dolly Wells, with Florence Walker producing. The series is a co-production between the BBC, Moonage Pictures, ZDFneo, and Netflix.
Moonage Pictures’ Matthew Read said of the series: “As soon as we read Holly Jackson’s ruthlessly compelling page-turner, we knew it had all the elements for a piece of must-see television. Pip Fitz-Amobi is a unique protagonist and it’s a huge honour to be working with Poppy Cogan in bringing her adventure to screen.”
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was filmed in and around Somerset, England, with locations including Bristol, the Redcliffe Caves, the Avon Valley Railway, and Westbury on Trym.
