The BBC and BritBox North America have unveiled a collection of new images from the upcoming second series of Time. The gripping drama, produced by BBC Studios’ Drama Unit, features Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance, Bella Ramsey, Siobhan Finneran, and Sophie Willan in key roles. The three-part series, written by Jimmy McGovern and Helen Black, with direction by Andrea Harkin (The Confessions of Frannie Langton, The Trial Of Christine Keeler), takes viewers inside the complex world of a women’s prison.
But even with the ever-present threat of violence within its walls, they discover that an unexpected sense of community, and a shared understanding, still might be possible.

The cast also includes Julie Graham (Shetland, Being Eileen), Alicia Forde (Waterloo Road, Ryan Can’t Read), Lisa Millett (The A Word, Robin Hood), Faye McKeever (The Responder, Des), Kayla Meikle (The Capture, The Girl Before), James Corrigan (This Is Going to Hurt, This England), Nicholas Nunn (Clique, SAS Rogue Heroes) and Maimuna Memon (Sherwood, Unforgotten).

Who is behind the series
Time series two is produced by BBC Studios Drama for the BBC and co-produced with BritBox North America. The executive producers include Priscilla Parish, Michael Parke, Andrew Morrissey, Lucy Richer, Reemah Sakaan, Stephen Nye, and Jimmy McGovern.
Time will air on BBC One this autumn.
