BBC Two Announce Comedy “The Kemps: All Gold”

The Kemps: All Gold is the follow-up to the hit 2020 mockumentary The Kemps: All True. It is a 60-minute comedy made by BBC Studios Comedy productions. The film follows Spandau Ballet’s Gary and Martin Kemp, along with award-winning documentary filmmaker Rhys Thomas OBE, over the course of a year as they make a biopic, get divorced, and form a supergroup.
The cast includes Michael Kitchen as the Kemps’ long-suffering manager and Perry Benson as their brother Ross Kemp. Other notable cast members include Adil Ray, Christopher Eccleston, Danny John Jules, David Arnold, Dexter Fletcher, Ed Kear, Ellie May Sheridan, Lenny Rush, Lucy Montgomery, Matt Allwright, Paul Reynolds, Shirlie Kemp, Tamzin Outhwaite, and Francis Rossi.
Martin Kemp describes the documentary as “brilliant, bonkers, and so funny” and promises that it will be even funnier than the previous installment. Gary Kemp expresses excitement about reuniting with Rhys and the incredible cast, and promises that the new story will take their adventures to a whole new level of dysfunction.
The Kemps: All Gold is a BBC Studios Comedy production for BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. It was commissioned by Jon Petrie, Director of Comedy at the BBC. The executive producer for BBC Studios is Rhys Thomas, and the commissioning editor for the BBC is Ben Caudell. Broadcast details for The Kemps: All Gold will be announced at a later date.
