BBC Two’s “Celebrity Antiques Road Trip” Returns for Series 12 on October 11

BBC Two’s popular factual entertainment show, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, is set to return for its twelfth series. This year’s lineup includes a mix of Love Island winners, Strictly favorites, ’80s pop stars, and reality TV personality Gemma Collins.
Love Island champions Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti will be swapping the villa for valuations, competing to find the most interesting antiques and make the most money at auction. Davide describes his experience on the show as a nostalgic and fun adventure, where he learned a lot about antiques and the importance of not judging a book by its cover.
Joining them on the road trip are Strictly professional Amy Dowden and former contestant Sara Davies, reality star Gemma Collins and BBC Radio 1 presenter Melvin Odoom, and 1980s popstar pals Samantha Fox and Sinitta.
Sinitta expressed her excitement about reuniting with Samantha after nearly forty years: “I thought of Sam immediately when asked who I would like to do this show with, as whenever we bump into each other we always say we must get together, but life takes over and it never happens. This was the perfect opportunity to spend time together after nearly forty years, and we laughed non-stop like time had stood still. It felt so cool driving through the country lanes like pop music’s answer to Thelma and Louise!”
The series will kick off with comedy duo Paul Merton and Suki Webster taking the wheel of one of the show’s classic cars. The following episode will feature news anchor siblings Geeta and Krishnan Guru-Murthy.
Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, produced by STV Studios, has been a staple of BBC Two and iPlayer’s autumn schedule since 2011. The show sees famous faces traveling across the UK with antiques experts, searching for hidden treasures and competing to auction them off for the most money.
Expert antiques professionals who will accompany the celebrities on their road trip include Serhat Ahmet, Angus Ashworth, Izzie Balmer, James Braxton, Margie Cooper, Charles Hanson, David Harper, Roo Irvine, Hettie Jago, Ishy Khan, Paul Laidlaw, Irita Marriott, Tim Medhurst, Steven Moore, Natasha Raskin Sharp, Philip Serrell, and Catherine Southon.
