Beacon 23 Season 2 Premiere, April 7, 2024, MGM+
The second season of Beacon 23 is set to premiere on MGM+ on 7 April 2024. The eight-episode season will be available for streaming, offering viewers a thrilling continuation of the sci-fi drama.
Based on the short story series of the same name by Hugh Howey, Beacon 23 stars Lena Headey as Aster, a government agent, and Stephan James as Halan, a stoic ex-military man. Their fates become intertwined when they find themselves trapped together inside a remote “lighthouse” in space, known as a Beacon, which serves as a guide for intergalactic travellers.
The first season, which aired from November 2023 to December 2023, left viewers with a cliffhanger, as Aster was shot by Keir, leaving her fate uncertain. The second season will explore the aftermath of this shocking event, with the inhabitants of Beacon 23 facing conflicting agendas and the looming presence of the mysterious Artifact.
The season will feature returning cast members Natasha Mumba as Harmony, Eric Lange as Aleph, and Wade Bogert-O’Brien as Bart, alongside newcomers Ellen Wong as a new Beacon keeper, and Marnie McPhail, Daniel Malik, and Cyrus Faird, among others.
The show is created by Zak Penn, known for his work on Free Guy and Ready Player One, and is executive produced by Penn, Glen Mazzara, and Joy Blake.
Don’t miss the premiere of Beacon 23, Season 2, on MGM+ at 9.00pm on 7 April 2024.
