The Food Network’s Beat Bobby Flay: Holiday Throwdown returns, and this time, culinary icon Ina Garten is joining the fray. In “Pie in the Sky,” airing Tuesday, November 19th at 9/8c, Garten lends her expertise to a trio of celebrity chefs aiming to out-bake Flay in a Thanksgiving dessert showdown.
While Flay is known for his Southwestern-infused cuisine and grilling prowess, desserts might be his Achilles’ heel, at least if Amanda Freitag, Aarti Sequeira, and Duff Goldman have anything to say about it. These culinary titans are teaming up, armed with Garten’s wisdom and aiming to, as the Food Network puts it, “serve Bobby Flay a slice of humble pie.” The challenge centers around Thanksgiving pies, so expect some innovative twists on classic pumpkin, pecan, and apple creations.
