A new season of Below Deck Mediterranean is on its way, this time set against the backdrop of Athens, Greece. The show premieres on 7Bravo and 7plus at 8:30 PM on Wednesday, 19 March.
Here’s the Lowdown: Captain Sandy Yawn is back at the helm, and Chief Stew Aesha Scott returns to the Mediterranean. Familiar face Elena Dubaich is also back as a stew, alongside newcomers: Chef Johnathan Shillingford, Bosun Iain Maclean, and Deckhands Joe Bradley, Nathan Gallager, and Gael Cameron. Aboard the 180-foot M/Y Mustique, the crew will deal with difficult guests, late-night service, and an unusual mechanical breakdown. The premiere date is Wednesday, 19 March.
What This Means Now: Below Deck fans can look forward to a familiar mix of luxury, crew clashes, and demanding charter clients. The Greek setting and the new crew will introduce different situations, while Aesha Scott’s presence adds a welcome, known quantity.
The Bigger Picture: This season features classic Below Deck challenges: late supplies, internal crew disagreements, and a medical issue. Chef Jono will have to work hard to satisfy expectations, and the deck crew learns the importance of good communication. Boat romances create additional conflict, with a love triangle brewing and a pre-existing relationship affecting a new one. Captain Sandy also has a big surprise in store for her partner, Leah, which looks set to bring tears. All of this and more is scheduled to air from 8.30pm on Wednesday, 19 March on 7Bravo and 7plus. A ninth season will launch on both Binge and Hayu on 4 June.
