‘Below Deck Vault’ Sets Sail on 7plus as Franchise Expands FAST Footprint in Australia

Murder Below Deck Lifetime

The Below Deck franchise has docked at 7plus, with Australia’s Seven Network launching Below Deck Vault—a dedicated FAST channel serving up curated episodes from across NBCUniversal’s yachting reality empire.

Available now on 7plus, Below Deck Vault pulls from the full deck: Below Deck, Below Deck Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and Below Deck Down Under are all in the rotation. It’s the latest play in Seven’s growing push into FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) territory, as audiences lean into free, genre-focused channels with high-volume, lean-back appeal.

The launch stems from Seven’s broader content deal with NBCUniversal, which currently supplies more than 1,200 hours of unscripted and scripted programming annually to Seven Network and 7plus. The move comes as Seven eyes continued growth across its FAST offering—April alone saw 7plus FAST channels hit a platform-high 206 million streamed minutes, up 66% year over year.

Seven’s Director of Distribution & Content Partnerships Richard Henson pointed to growing demand for reality and docuseries formats, with Below Deck offering an evergreen binge engine built for exactly this kind of programming lane. That appetite is reflected in what’s performing: 7plus’s top FAST channels last month skewed heavily toward reality, documentary, sport, and drama.

The franchise landing on FAST also gives Below Deck a broader reach in a competitive streaming market. With genre-specific channels helping viewers skip the scroll, Below Deck Vault plays into both brand loyalty and the lean-in habits of fans already familiar with the franchise’s overboard drama.

Additional FAST expansions from 7plus are in the pipeline, as the platform looks to capitalize on its growing sports vertical—anchored by AFL and cricket rights—and an expanding lineup of genre-driven content plays.
