Prime Video presents a series, Beyond Black Beauty, inspired by the classic novel, Black Beauty. This contemporary adaptation will be available for streaming exclusively on Prime Video in the US and UK, with all eleven episodes releasing on October 15.
The story centres around Jolie Dumont, a young equestrian with Olympic aspirations, whose life takes an unexpected turn when her mother relocates them from Belgium to an urban ranch in Baltimore. Played by Kaya Coleman, Jolie finds solace in a spirited horse named Black Beauty, forming a bond that becomes integral to her journey.
Beyond Black Beauty follows Jolie’s path as she embraces her heritage, pursues her Olympic dreams, and discovers the importance of family and home. The series also stars Gina James, Sagine Sémajuste, Lisa Berry, and Gilles Marini, offering a rich and engaging narrative.
Executive produced by Pilar Golden, Carla de Jong, Blair Powers, J.J. Johnson, Leif Bristow, Agnes Bristow, Hubert Toint, and Christin Simms, the show is a collaboration between Sinking Ship Entertainment, Leif Films, Saga Film, and Amazon MGM Studios.
