On Monday’s “Beyond the Gates” on CBS, Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) takes on a new client, a homeless woman facing charges, but quickly discovers that winning her trust is harder than she thought. The woman’s experiences on the streets have left her wary of everyone, making Naomi’s task a true uphill climb. Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges), convinced of the woman’s innocence, hopes Naomi can break through and help clear her name.
Meanwhile, Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) and Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacobs) are about to discover if their romance can survive the ultimate compatibility test: cohabitation. With Derek’s lease ending, the pair made the quick decision to move in together, but the reality of sharing a space might prove more challenging than they expected.
But the real fireworks are set to ignite courtesy of Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant). Leslie’s having an affair with Ted Richardson (Maurice Johnson), and she’s ready to drop the bomb on his unsuspecting wife, Nicole Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix). Leslie’s chosen venue for this explosive reveal? Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party, naturally.
