The haggling and deal-making continue in “The Bidding Room” this Wednesday on BBC One. Host Nigel Havers welcomes a new batch of sellers hoping to strike gold with their unique items. Today’s dealer lineup includes JB, Ian, Mel, Jacqui, Viki, and Jon and expert Simon Bower is also on hand to provide guidance.
Anne arrives with a gleaming silver collection, its value yet to be determined by the discerning eyes of the dealers. Lorraine is banking on nostalgia with her collection of Sindy dolls, hoping a collector will be tempted by a trip down memory lane. And Adrian brings in some truly rare items – original Ian Spurling ballet costume designs – hoping a sale will fund a much-needed family vacation.
But will their hopes be realized? With resident magpie Mel in the room, anything shiny is sure to catch her attention. And Kevin’s metal-detecting finds, plus Alison’s fire insurance plaque, add to the diverse mix of objects up for grabs.
Tune in to BBC One at 3:45 PM GMT on Wednesday to see who walks away with a bargain – and who goes home empty-handed.
