A new Australian reality series is set to pull back the curtain on the extreme demands of servicing the super-rich down under. ‘Billion Dollar Playground’, commissioned for Binge, steps inside the operations of a real-life luxury accommodation provider, Luxico, following the staff who cater to wealthy clients in opulent Australian vacation properties. The show makes its debut Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10:00 am AEST, with subsequent episodes appearing weekly.
The eight-part series adopts an observational style, placing watchers alongside the high-end concierges, chefs, butlers, and housekeepers. Their task is to fulfil often extraordinary requests from guests staying in some of Australia’s most lavish homes. From sourcing exclusive fashion items on short notice to arranging private fireworks or flying in specialist chefs, the program chronicles the intense effort required to maintain supreme standards of service.
Central to the show is the team itself, a group of hospitality professionals with global experience. Figures include Salvatore, the lead concierge demanding near-royal precision; Heaven, his rule-bending second-in-command; ambitious concierge Jasmin; sibling chefs Matt and George; French butler JB; trainee Nicole; handyman Jay; and the direct housekeeper Elsie. The program looks at the pressures and teamwork involved in meeting seemingly impossible demands where cost is rarely a barrier.
Produced by Ronde Media for Foxtel Group’s Binge platform, ‘Billion Dollar Playground’ aims to blend fascination with high-end property and the human drama behind the scenes. Viewers can also find the show on Foxtel from 1:30 pm on the premiere day.
