BINGE Announces MIX TAPE New Original Australian Drama

Mix Tape, an international co-production between the Foxtel Group, acclaimed Australian production company Aquarius Films, and one of Ireland’s leading TV and film production companies, Subotica, has been announced as BINGE’s newest original drama commision. Screen Australia and Screen Ireland are providing funding for Mix Tape.

What is Mix Tape about

The four-part event miniseries Mix Tape is based on Jane Sanderson’s best-selling and critically acclaimed novel of the same name. It all starts with Daniel and Alison, two English teenagers who had an epic love affair in 1989 that will live on in their hearts and in the songs of their generation. To the current state of their adult relationships, with partners from different countries.

After reuniting over a song from their past, Daniel and Alison embark on a journey to answer the question: Is this the love and life we were meant to have?

Nostalgic, music filled love story

Who is making the series

Mix Tape is written by Jo Spain (Taken Down; Sanditon), and will be directed by Australian Director Lucy Gaffy (Totally, Completely Fine; Irreverent). The series will be produced by Angie Fielder and Polly Staniford for Aquarius Films and Aoife O’Sullivan and Tristan Orpen Lynch for Subotica.Executive Producers are Alison Hurbert-Burns, Lana Greenhalgh, Miranda Culley and Clare Mirabello. Major production investment from the Foxtel Group in association with Screen Australia and Screen Ireland. International sales by Eccho Rights.
