Blue Bloods “Entitlement” (CBS, Friday, December 6, 2024)

Blue Bloods Key Art

This week’s Blue Bloods finds the Reagans knee-deep in the usual blend of family drama and precinct paperwork, but with a few twists thrown in for good measure. “Entitlement,” the rather pointedly titled episode, sees our heroes facing everything from entitled squatters to potentially entitled governors.

Eddie and Detective Badillo find themselves in a uniquely awkward predicament. They’re trying to assist a man who has been unceremoniously evicted from his own apartment by a squatter. The twist? The squatter is also Jamie’s confidential informant. This puts Jamie squarely between a rock and a hard place, forced to choose between upholding the law and protecting a valuable asset in his ongoing investigations. One can only hope family dinner doesn’t devolve into a tense negotiation.

Meanwhile, Danny and Baez are on the case of a seemingly straightforward tragedy: the death of a promising college student in her dorm room. But as any seasoned Blue Bloods viewer knows, things are rarely as they seem. Initial appearances aside, there’s a strong chance this case will take a turn into the unexpectedly complicated.

Back at One Police Plaza, Frank is grappling with a new proposal from the governor – a proposal that smells suspiciously like a political maneuver. Is the governor genuinely concerned about public safety or is there a hidden agenda lurking beneath the surface? Frank, ever the pragmatist, will no doubt approach this situation with his usual measured skepticism.

And in a lighter vein, Erin decides to play Cupid, attempting to set Anthony up on a date. Whether this foray into matchmaking results in heartwarming romance or cringe-inducing comedy will certainly be a highlight of the episode.

Blue Bloods airs Fridays at 10 PM on CBS.
