Bob’s Burgers “They Slug Horses, Don’t They?” (FOX, Sunday, December 8, 2024)

Bob's Burgers Key Art

Ah, sibling rivalry. The wellspring of so much familial angst, the engine of countless childhood conflicts, and, apparently, the inspiration for some seriously “graphic” apology cards in the upcoming episode of Bob’s Burgers. Sunday’s installment, “They Slug Horses, Don’t They?” finds Tina and Louise locked in a battle of wills, expressing their mutual displeasure not with fisticuffs or screaming matches, but with increasingly elaborate (and potentially disturbing) artistic creations.

Now, the Belchers are no strangers to petty squabbles. We’ve seen them bicker over everything from stolen Halloween candy to coveted restaurant real estate. But this time, the conflict seems to have escalated into a full-blown artistic arms race, with apologies delivered not with sincerity but with what FOX describes as “graphic” visuals. One can only imagine the horrors Tina and Louise have unleashed upon each other in card form. Will there be glitter? Probably. Will there be questionable depictions of anthropomorphic food items? Almost certainly. Will it push the boundaries of good taste and basic human decency? Let’s just say I wouldn’t be surprised.

This being Bob’s Burgers, the rest of the family will likely be drawn into the fray, forced to act as referees, therapists, and possibly even art critics in the face of Tina and Louise’s creative warfare. Gene, ever the peacemaker (or, more likely, the instigator in disguise), will no doubt find a way to profit from the chaos, while Bob and Linda attempt to maintain some semblance of order amidst the artistic carnage. The episode airs Sunday at 9 p.m. on FOX. Let the games begin.
