The Bold and the Beautiful Monday November 18 Recap: “Hope’s Ouster Fuels Forrester Takeover Plot”

Well, that escalated quickly. Steffy’s impatience officially detonated a corporate bomb on Monday’s “The Bold and the Beautiful.” After nudging Hope toward the exit at Forrester Creations, Steffy now faces a full-blown coup, courtesy of Hope and Carter. It seems no good deed goes unpunished in the cutthroat world of fashion.

This episode saw Steffy, fueled by lingering suspicions regarding Hope and Finn’s Roman holiday, doubling down on her decision to oust Hope from Forrester. Ridge, ever the loyal husband, continued to back Steffy, despite Eric’s attempts to apply the brakes to this high-speed train wreck. Steffy, apparently mistaking speed for efficiency, pressed Katie to issue a press release announcing Hope’s departure and the unceremonious end of Hope for the Future. One might think a seasoned executive would understand the value of discretion, but subtlety isn’t exactly a Forrester family trait.

Meanwhile, Carter, feeling increasingly sidelined at Forrester, found a sympathetic ear in Hope. Their shared sense of being undervalued by Steffy and Ridge morphed into a plan audacious enough to make even Dollar Bill Spencer blush: a hostile takeover of Forrester Creations. It’s a bold move, certainly, but one that feels somewhat unearned. These two haven’t exactly been power players lately, so their sudden leap to corporate raiders seems a bit… convenient.

As the news of her impending unemployment landed with the force of a designer handbag, a devastated Hope sought solace in Carter’s arms. Their shared frustration quickly boiled over into a passionate kiss, sealing the deal on their scheme. Suddenly, that takeover plot isn’t just about professional ambition; it’s personal. We’ve seen these two make impulsive decisions before, but this one feels particularly rash. Are they driven by genuine ambition or just wounded pride?

Elsewhere in the Forrester universe, Ridge, still fixated on the “Hope-and-Finn-in-Rome” saga, continued to grill Finn, who, bless his heart, stuck to his guns, claiming Hope made a pass at him. Ivy’s reappearance created some intrigue, as she inserted herself into a conversation between a fretful Electra and Will Spencer. Electra, worried about the skeletons in her closet, seemed on the verge of confessing something. Is her past about to catch up with her? Stay tuned.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 PM on CBS.
