Well, the holidays are over in the land of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and back to work they go. Or not, in Electra Forrester’s case. Remember last week? CBS gifted viewers with a repeat on Christmas Day. But now, with the eggnog hangovers fading, we’re back in the thick of things, and things are thick indeed.
Will Spencer seems to have developed a backbone. He’s demanding answers about Electra’s sudden dismissal from Forrester Creations. Katie Logan, his mother, is playing it close to the vest. Seems like secrecy is the new black this winter.
Turns out, Katie, Brooke, and Carter formed a little firing squad, and Electra was the target. Their reasoning? Still shrouded in mystery. Transparency isn’t really a Forrester family value, is it?
Meanwhile, Electra’s finding solace in the arms of Remy Pryce. This, my friends, is what we call dramatic irony. Remy, you see, is the puppet master behind Electra’s downfall. He’s the one who cooked up those deep fake photos that landed on Katie’s desk.
Remy’s working an angle here, playing the knight in shining armor. It’s all very “comforting the damsel in distress,” but his “comfort” has a creepy, stalker-ish undercurrent. Remember when Electra’s life went sideways before? Remy was there, offering a shoulder to cry on. This time feels different, darker.
And wouldn’t you know it, Electra’s about to uncover Remy’s twisted shrine to her. A wall plastered with her photos? Not exactly standard interior design. This could go south fast. Kidnapping? It’s not outside the realm of possibility. Let’s just say Remy doesn’t strike me as the “respecting boundaries” type.
While this unfolds, Will and Ivy are playing detective. They’re on a mission to expose the truth behind Electra’s firing. Good luck with that, kids. This family’s secrets are buried deeper than Aunt Sally’s fruitcake.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 PM on CBS.
