The Bold and the Beautiful Key Art

Friday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS served up a healthy dose of paternity drama and romantic manipulation, as Finn continued to question Luna’s parentage, and Daphne’s perfume-fueled seduction of Carter intensified.

Despite Poppy’s tearful insistence that Finn isn’t Luna’s father, her over-the-top emotional response only fueled his suspicions. Finn, clearly not buying the performance, seems determined to get a DNA test, which, knowing soap opera timelines, will probably take three months and involve a misplaced vial or two.

Meanwhile, little Luna continued to confide in Bill Spencer about her paternity questions, because apparently, a billionaire media mogul is the best person to talk to about daddy issues. Elsewhere, Daphne continued to weave her web around Carter, deploying a specially crafted perfume, courtesy of Steffy Forrester, who is clearly orchestrating this whole charade. One has to wonder what Steffy’s endgame is, but I suspect it involves some elaborate scheme to reclaim Liam or perhaps destabilize Forrester Creations.

As for Carter, well, let’s just say his resistance to Daphne’s charms seems to be weakening with every whiff of that magic perfume. This could spell trouble for his relationship with Hope, who, let’s be honest, has the romantic appeal of unsalted oatmeal.
