Bradley Walsh, the man of many talents – actor, comedian, game show host, and, yes, former Rolls Royce apprentice – is trading in the quizmaster’s podium for the sands of Egypt in a new three-part documentary series for Sky History. “Bradley Walsh: Egypt’s Cosmic Code” sees Walsh indulging a lifelong fascination with ancient engineering, exploring the mysteries of the Pharaohs with his characteristic blend of humor and genuine curiosity.
Joined by Egyptologists Dr. Meredith Brand and Dr. Arto Belekdanian, Walsh embarks on a journey through some of history’s most iconic landmarks. From the pyramids of Giza to the enigmatic Sphinx, Walsh examines the “how” and the “why” behind these incredible feats of construction. He even ventures into Tutankhamun’s tomb in Luxor, hoping to unravel the story of this famed dynasty.
Walsh’s engineering background adds a unique dimension to the series. Forget dry academic discussions; Walsh approaches these ancient wonders with the practical eye of someone who’s spent time under the hood, so to speak. He’s not afraid to ask the tough questions, even if they involve the possibility of extraterrestrial intervention.
“Bradley Walsh: Egypt’s Cosmic Code” premieres Tuesday, March 18th on Sky History. The show will later air on The HISTORY Channel in South Africa, the Middle East, Benelux, Sweden, Poland, and Central and Eastern Europe later in 2025.
