Just in time for Friday the 13, Lifetime Movie Network (LMN) is serving up Bride or Die at 8:00 PM ET. The latest entry in LMN’s seemingly bottomless well of thrillers takes the tried-and-true “bachelorette getaway gone wrong” trope and cranks the dial up to “home invasion/murder attempt.”
The setup is simple: Bride-to-be Allie and her friends head off for a pre-wedding celebration only to have their weekend interrupted by a masked man who breaks in with clear homicidal intent. But this isn’t just a random act of violence. Allie quickly starts to suspect that this isn’t some nameless creeper. The movie turns into a whodunnit with a dash of Agatha Christie mixed in when the friends suspect her jealous ex girlfriend is behind the mask.
