In the second episode of NBC’s new medical drama Brilliant Minds, titled “The Disembodied Woman,” Dr. Wolf (Zachary Quinto) comes to the aid of a girls’ basketball coach grappling with a debilitating illness that has left her feeling disconnected from her physical self.
Dr Oliver Wolf (clearly based on Dr Oliver Sacks) is the head of a team of interns studying the mysteries of the brain in his neurology department in New York City.
Wolf’s team includes:
– Van Markus, played by Alex MacNicoll, a first-year resident
– Ericka Kinney, played by Ashleigh LaThrop, a first-year resident
– Dana Dang, played by Aury Krebs, a first-year resident
– Jacob Nash, played by Spence Moore II, a first-year resident
– Carol Pierce, played by Tamberla Perry, the chair of psychiatry and Wolf’s long-time friend since medical school
– Josh Nichols, played by Teddy Sears, the chair of neurosurgery at Bronx General Hospital
