NBC’s medical drama “Brilliant Minds,” loosely inspired by the work of Oliver Sacks, returns with it’s final case study of this first season. In “The Man Who Can’t See Faces,” the thirteenth episode of its first season, Dr. Wolf confronts a peculiar neurological puzzle: a pastor plagued by unsettling visions.
Simultaneously, the show’s ensemble of interns face a more immediate crisis: the aftermath of the building collapse in the earlier “The Doctor Whose World Collapsed.”
“Brilliant Minds” has carved a niche for itself on NBC’s Monday night lineup. It’s not reinventing the medical drama wheel, but it delivers reliably on the genre’s familiar tropes: complicated diagnoses, personal dilemmas, and the occasional ethical quandary.
“Brilliant Minds” airs Mondays at 10:00 PM on NBC.
