BritBox is stacking its February lineup with a mix of dramas, comedies, and the always-glamorous awards circuit. A new detective arrives on the scene in Death in Paradise, while a seemingly perfect family is threatened in For Her Sins. The final season of the comedy Ghosts also arrives, alongside the 2025 EE British Academy Film Awards.
Death in Paradise returns for a fourteenth season, introducing Detective Mervin Wilson, played by Don Gilet, who trades London’s streets for the sun-drenched shores of Saint Marie. While assisting on a case, the team begins to suspect that Mervin has an ulterior reason for being on the island. The series also stars Shantol Jackson, Ginny Holder, and Élizabeth Bourgine. New episodes will stream weekly starting February 11.
For Her Sins, starring Jo Joyner as Laura, presents a portrait of a family whose idyllic facade begins to crack when a woman named Emily, played by Rachel Shenton, enters their lives. Emily manipulates Laura’s insecurities as a mother and stirs up old flames from her past, but Laura is not without her own secrets. The mystery drama will be available from February 19.
The critically acclaimed comedy Ghosts returns for its fifth and final season on February 3. Alison and Mike, owners of Button House, find themselves facing major changes following an unexpected announcement. Meanwhile, the ghosts are busy investigating the circumstances of Kitty’s death and contemplating their legacies. The series stars Charlotte Ritchie, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, and Jim Howick.
The 2025 EE British Academy Film Awards, hosted by David Tennant, will stream on BritBox from February 17. The awards, known as an important bellwether for the Academy Awards, will feature a star-studded audience and A-list interviews.
