BritBox’s new April shows include The Sister Boniface Mysteries, Grace, and Ladhood.

Popular murder mysteries and crime shows will be returning for new seasons in April.

‘SISTER BONIFACE MYSTERIES’

BRITBOX ORIGINAL, SEASON 2, NEW, AND EXCLUSIVE

The second season of the Father Brown spinoff has proven to be very successful.

Returning as the moped-riding, wine-making, part-time forensic chemist Sister Boniface of St. Vincent’s Convent is Lorna Watson (The IT Crowd, The Wrong Door, Forget Me Not). The series is based in a small town in the Cotswolds in the 1960s, and the law enforcement there is fairly primitive.

Sister Boniface is so popular that the residents of the community trust her with solving crimes. Sister Boniface, aided by Max Brown’s dashing DI Sam Gilliespie, will uncover any proof that exists.

Beginning 6 April 2023 on BritBox.

‘GRACE’

Season 3 Australian Premiere, Britbox Exclusive

John Simm (Life on Mars, Crime by Irvine Welsh) plays the hard-nosed but tormented DS Roy Grace. This crime drama tracks the dedicated officers of the Brighton Police Department as they investigate a variety of perplexing cases in the seaside city of Brighton.

Peter James’ novel series Grace is the inspiration for the hit television show Grace. Reviewers from the Guardian UK, The Telegraph UK, and The Independent UK all gave the series good marks.

BritBox premieres on April 20, 2023.

‘LADHOOD’

Season 3 is BRAND NEW and ONLY on BRITBOX.

BAFTA-nominated comedian Liam Williams (Pls Like, Year Friends) delves into the origins of contemporary manhood through the lens of his own misguided youth in the semi-autobiographical comedy Ladhood.

Premiering on BritBox on April 27th, 2023.
