Brooke Boney to Host “Tina Turner: The Best Is Yet To Come” Special
A special “Tina Turner: The Best Is Yet To Come,” to be hosted by Brooke Boney, entertainment presenter for TODAY News, will revisit Tina Turner’s influential reign in the Australian rock ‘n’ roll scene. The event, set to a soundtrack of her hit songs, will showcase her fantastic career of over five decades.
From selling over 100 million records to her appearance in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, and giving the NRL anthem, Turner left her mark everywhere she went. The special event will also feature Australia’s celebrated singers, including David Campbell, Casey Donovan, Vanessa Amorosi, Darren Hayes, and Christine Anu, who will share their stories about Turner’s impact on them. They will also reflect on how she remains an iconic music personality right to this day.
Additionally, viewers will get a glimpse of Tina’s latest career chapter through a spotlight on “TINA: The Tina Turner Musical.” The musical, which premieres at The Theatre Royal Sydney in May, and was a hit in London’s West End, discovered the Australian singer who landed the lead role in the local production, transforming her into Australia’s very own triumphant Tina Turner.
