Life on the Gulf of Carpentaria isn’t for the faint of heart. “Cape Carnage: Killer Catch” returns this Sunday with “Shark Invasion,” an episode that throws the Davey family and their Wildcard crew into a maelstrom of hungry sharks, urgent repairs, and financial pressure.
The crew steams towards Karumba with 10 tonnes of Spanish mackerel, a haul worth a hefty $230,000. With a weekly target of $65,000 to meet, the pressure is on. But an unexpected illness forces a change of plans, sending the boat to a shallow, secluded bay for repairs. It’s a risky move, as the bay is known to be teeming with both crocodiles and sharks.
Adding to the challenges, barnacles encrusting the hull threaten the Wildcard’s performance. Meanwhile, the competition between veteran Tom and rookie Pete for the biggest catch heats up. And in a heart-stopping moment, Prue takes her three-year-old daughter Ellica out for a fishing trip, only to have a close encounter with a very hungry shark. “Cape Carnage: Killer Catch” is a raw and visceral look at the lives of those who risk it all in pursuit of their livelihood on one of the world’s most treacherous seas. Tune in to U&Dave on Sunday, April 27th at 8:00 PM GMT.
