The ambitious and often overwhelming task of restoring a 500-year-old French chateau continues on Castle Impossible, this Tuesday at 9 PM ET on HGTV. In the latest episode, Dreamland: The Bedroom Fit for a King, Daphne and Ian turn their attention to one of the most historically significant spaces in the sprawling estate: an original bedroom once used by French royalty.
Daphne, who inherited the 130-acre property from her late grandfather, and her partner Ian are on a mission to bring the chateau back to its former glory. Their goal for this project is to create a bedroom that is not only functional but also befitting of the kings and queens who once stayed there. This means contending with centuries of wear and tear, all while working within a tight budget.
The couple must rely on their combined expertise in carpentry, conservation, and landscaping to tackle the immense project. To help fund the renovation, they host weddings on the chateau’s main floor.
