For Daphne and Ian, inheriting a 500-year-old chateau outside of Paris was more of a mixed blessing. On Tuesday’s episode of HGTV’s “Castle Impossible,” “Happy Ever Afters: The Secret Wedding Salon,” the couple sets out to transform part of their crumbling estate into a revenue stream, hoping to bolster their wedding venue business.
Daphne’s grandfather started the business, and now she and Ian plan to expand it by creating an elegant office and a welcoming sitting room for potential clients. Their hope is that by adding a touch of modern convenience to the historic setting, they can attract more bookings and keep the castle’s restoration dream alive.
