From a tiny home dream in California to a 500-year-old chateau outside of Paris—that’s the surprising trajectory for high school sweethearts Daphne and Ian. When Daphne inherits a crumbling French castle from her grandfather, their lives take an unexpected turn.
This Tuesday, HGTV’s new series “Castle Impossible” documents the couple’s ambitious, and slightly insane, undertaking. The premiere episode focuses on their first major project: transforming the dilapidated bell tower into a luxury suite. Think rotten roof beams, precarious scaffolding, and the ever-present threat of a French windstorm. Oh, and did I mention this is a 500-year-old structure?
