Channel 5’s Casualty 24/7: Every Second Counts returns with a new round of high-stakes medical drama on Wednesday at 9 PM. Among the recent arrivals is Doctor Martha Ellis-Parkinson. Adding a twist of local fate, Dr. Ellis-Parkinson was born at Barnsley Hospital, and her first patient is a 78-year-old ex-miner suffering chest pains. Meanwhile, the resus team gears up for a patient with internal bleeding following a ruptured artery.

As the chaos swells, Emergency Nurse Practitioner Tony attempts to extract a foreign object from eight-year-old Benjamin’s ear – proving that in A&E, the spectrum of emergencies never ceases to surprise.
