In this episode of Cause of Death, Dr. Adeley and his team face two difficult cases. The first involves a man who was found dead while on holiday in Egypt with his wife. After the embalmed body is repatriated, the team must establish the facts and determine if snorkelling contributed to his death. To gain further insights, Home Office pathologist Dr Brian Rodgers, with a special interest in diving, investigates the case.
The second case centres around a recovering alcoholic in her early 50s who is found dead at home. To uncover the truth behind her sudden death, Dr. Adeley and his team have to perform an invasive post-mortem examination.
