Cause of Death: Season 3 Episode 7 (Channel 5, Thursday, 5 September 2024)

Channel 5

In this episode of Cause of Death, the team is faced with two mysterious cases. The first involves 63-year-old Raymond Rahamatally, who is found deceased in his flat in Preston, Lancashire. With a severe wound to his hip and cuts on his hands, the Lancashire Police and Coroner’s officers are left puzzled.

The flat shows no signs of disturbance, and Raymond’s possessions are neatly arranged. The only clues seem to be a family history of heart disease and some severe leg injuries from a medical condition. It’s up to the coroner’s team to unravel the case and determine the cause of Raymond’s death.

In an unrelated incident, a dramatic 999 call to the police is cut off abruptly, prompting the dispatch of armed officers to the scene. Upon their arrival, they discover the caller in an outbuilding, but he is pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear, and it’s now the coroner’s job to piece together what happened and why.
