CBS Coverage of “The Thanksgiving Day Parade” Thursday, Nov. 23

On Thursday, November 23, CBS will be airing coverage of THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE, hosted by Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight. Knight, who is a co-host on ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT and chief correspondent for E! News, will also be making her “Broadway debut” as she performs with the cast of “Chicago” as Roxie Hart. “Chicago” is the longest-running musical on Broadway, currently in its 27th year.
The parade coverage will also include special performances by the casts of two other hit Broadway musicals. “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical” and Disney’s “Aladdin” will both be featured in the parade. “Aladdin” is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Broadway.
The parade will take place in New York City and Frazier and Knight will be anchoring the coverage from a site along the parade route. The parade is known for its large balloons of popular cartoon characters, elaborate floats, and lively marching bands from across the country.
The executive producers for CBS’ coverage of THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE are Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss, who have both won Emmy Awards for their work on the Tony Awards. Weiss will also be directing the coverage.
