On Monday, April 8, 2024, CBS Mornings takes viewers on a journey across America with a unique live broadcast from three different locations, each with its own distinct story to tell. Anchors Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil, and Nate Burleson bring their distinct perspectives and energy to Austin, Texas; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Glendale, Arizona, respectively.

Gayle King anchors the show from The University of Texas in Austin, where she recaps the excitement of the CMT Music Awards. She is joined by the singer Jelly Roll, who delivers an exclusive performance, and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Cassie DiLaura, who relives the highlights of the award show. The University of Texas Longhorn Band also makes a special appearance, adding a touch of local flavour to the show.

Nate Burleson takes the reins from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, as he looks ahead to the highly anticipated Men’s NCAA National Championship game. He recaps the thrilling Women’s NCAA National Championship and previews the upcoming men’s game, providing viewers with a front-row seat to March Madness. Burleson also speaks with NFL TODAY host James Brown, who shares the story behind “One Shining Moment,” the iconic song that has become synonymous with the NCAA Tournament.
