CBS Mornings welcomes Oprah Winfrey, an American media mogul, talk show host, television producer, actress, author, and philanthropist. Winfrey is best known for her talk show, “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” which ran in national syndication for 25 years and established her as the “Queen of All Media.”
She has been ranked as the most influential woman in the world and is often regarded as one of the most powerful women in the world. Winfrey’s success in media and entertainment has made her the first and only black female billionaire. In addition to her media endeavors, Winfrey has been active in politics, endorsing and supporting various candidates, including Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential race.
The show also features Elin Hilderbrand, a bestselling author known for her Nantucket-based novels. Hilderbrand’s works include “The Five-Star Weekend,” “Winter Solstice,” and the “Paradise” trilogy. She has a strong connection to Nantucket, having lived there and set five of her previous novels on the island. Hilderbrand is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Iowa’s graduate fiction workshop.
