On Wednesday, May 15, CBS Mornings welcomes actor and comedian Whoopi Goldberg and Iain Armitage, the star of Young Sheldon, to the show.
Whoopi Goldberg, a multi-award-winning actor, joins the show to discuss her new memoir, “Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me.” The book, released on May 7, offers an intimate look at Goldberg’s family and their influence on her early life. In particular, Goldberg pays tribute to her mother, Emma Johnson, and her brother, Clyde, who both passed away within five years of each other. Through this heartfelt memoir, Goldberg shares personal stories of their lives together, including their challenging yet enriching childhood in the projects of New York City.
Iain Armitage, the young actor who portrays Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon, a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory, will also be a guest on the show. Young Sheldon concludes its seventh and final season this, airing its last episodes on May 16. Armitage’s portrayal of a young Sheldon has been a highlight of the series, and he has successfully carried the show for seven seasons while growing up himself.
