This week’s episode features an interview with Dr. Anthony Fauci conducted by Dr. Jon LaPook. They discuss Dr. Fauci’s new memoir, his perspective on the COVID-19 pandemic, and his recent congressional testimony. The show also includes an interview with country music star Luke Combs by Kelefa Sanneh, as well as a report by Lee Cowan on a man’s surprising journey to find his biological father.

Additionally, Tracy Smith talks with Kevin Costner about his new multi-part Western film series, “Horizon: An American Saga.” Jonathan Vigliotti has a conversation with Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and his husband, Chasten Buttigieg, about family, fatherhood, and politics. Lastly, Jane Pauley explores the history of applause.
