CBS Pulls “Fire Country” Rerun Due to California Wildfires, “NCIS: Sydney” to Fill Time Slot

CBS has adjusted its schedule, pulling a repeat broadcast of “Fire Country” in response to the devastating wildfires in Southern California. The network made the decision out of sensitivity, given the show’s storylines often focus on the very real threat of California wildfires.

Originally slated for Friday, January 10, at 9/8c, the “Fire Country” rerun has been replaced with an episode of “NCIS: Sydney.” The scheduling change results in a double feature of the Australian-based drama, with another episode airing at 8/7c, followed by “S.W.A.T.” at 10/9c.

The episode of “Fire Country” that was pulled was a repeat from Season 3. The show, which follows the lives of inmate firefighters in California, is currently on its winter break. So this scheduling change does not impact new episodes.

It is still unknown whether CBS will also pull the “Fire Country” repeat scheduled for January 17.

Past episodes of “Fire Country” are available to stream on Paramount+.
