They discuss Junger’s latest book, “In My Time of Dying: How I Came Face to Face with the Idea of an Afterlife,” which explores his personal experiences with death and his subsequent exploration of the possibility of an afterlife. In 2020, Junger, a war reporter, found himself facing death not on a foreign frontline but during a quiet afternoon at his New England home. Crippled by abdominal pain, he was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a ruptured aneurysm, an event he should not have survived. This brush with death prompted him to reflect on the unpredictability of life and the possibility of facing death on an ordinary day.
To lighten the mood somewhat, co-host Michelle Miller also interviews the beloved Muppet character Miss Piggy to celebrate her 50th anniversary. Miss Piggy, with her glamorous style and quick wit, is sure to delight viewers of all ages.
