The race intensifies as the four teams continue their journey from the beach town of Canoa Quebrada in Brazil to Frutillar in southern Chile, with the picturesque town of Lençóis serving as their second checkpoint. This leg of the race takes them through Brazil’s northeast region and into the gateway to the expansive Chapada Diamantina National Park.
As the celebrities and their racing partners tackle this challenging route, they must rely on their resourcefulness and the kindness of strangers to make their way to the finish line. With limited funds and no modern conveniences, they will have to be ingenious and hardworking to succeed.
Celebrity Race Across the World airs Wednesday, 21 August 2024, at 9:00 pm on BBC One.
