Celebrity Race Across the World returns to BBC One for its second season on Wednesday, 14 August 2024, at 9:00 p.m. In this exciting season premiere, four new famous faces embark on an extraordinary adventure, trading their luxurious lifestyles for a grueling 12,500-kilometer race from the Amazon rainforest to the Andes.
Leaving behind modern conveniences like smartphones and bank cards, the celebrities and their companions will navigate this challenging journey with just a map and a limited budget. They will need to be resourceful and rely on the kindness of strangers as they push themselves to the extreme. Joining the race are broadcaster Kelly Brook and her husband, Jeremy; Ted Lasso star Kola Bokinni and his cousin Mary Ellen; Radio 2 host Scott Mills and his fiancé, Sam; and broadcaster Jeff Brazier and his son Freddy.
In this unique competition, the celebrities and their partners will offer a glimpse into their relationships as they tackle the race together. They will have to earn their keep, call upon their skills, and adapt to life without modern amenities. With only the cash equivalent of an airfare to their final destination, they will need to be creative and work hard to reach the finish line.
