60 Minutes on Channel 9

A brand new episode of 60 Minutes on Channel 9 is set to air on Sunday 10 March at 8.45pm. This upcoming installment features two compelling reports from journalists Dimity Clancey and Tara Brown.

The first report from Dimity Clancey, titled “Fatal Obsession,” examines the tragic story of Celeste Manno, a vibrant young Australian woman whose life was cut short by the disturbing obsession of a former coworker. Despite Celeste’s clear disinterest, Luay Sako relentlessly stalked her for over a year, causing immense distress. In November 2020, he broke into her home and fatally attacked her while she slept. Last week, Sako was sentenced to 36 years in prison for this heinous crime. However, Celeste’s mother remains unsatisfied with this punishment and expresses her concerns about Sako ever being released in an exclusive interview with 60 MINUTES and The Age.

In the second report, titled “Burning Bright,” journalist Tara Brown focuses on American band Matchbox Twenty as they embark on their Australian tour. Led by the candid Rob Thomas, the band continues to captivate audiences after three decades in the industry. Their sold-out shows are evidence that their music still resonates with fans old and new alike. Tara delves into their enduring success and discovers that despite celebrating getting older with a new album, the members of Matchbox Twenty are not quite ready to let go of their youthful spirit.
