The Change: Season 2 Premiere (Channel 4, Tuesday, March 25, 2025)

Bridget Christie's "The Change" First Look from Channel 4

Bridget Christie’s critically acclaimed comedy, “The Change,” returns for a second season, and Linda, now 50, finds herself facing the music – quite literally – in the eccentric haven of the Forest of Dean. Having abandoned her family and embraced a new identity based on a web of lies, Linda’s carefully constructed life starts to unravel.

Living in a caravan and surrounded by a cast of quirky characters, Linda must now defend herself in a rather unorthodox trial, one that sparks a full-blown “chore revolution” amongst the women of the town. Think less burning bras, more refusing to empty the dishwasher. As news of Linda’s ledgers – meticulous records of every chore performed – spreads, women everywhere are inspired to take a stand against the unpaid labour that keeps their households running.

But just as Linda becomes the reluctant leader of this domestic uprising, a new wrinkle appears: the arrival of Theresa, a third Eel Sister, throws doubt on Linda’s true motives. Is she a genuine champion of women’s rights or just a master manipulator?

With the return of Paul Whitehouse as the ever-grumpy Tony, still struggling with the very notion of women being funny, and Omid Djalili as Linda’s hapless husband Steve, “The Change” continues to deliver sharp wit and social commentary wrapped in a delightfully absurd package. Catch the premiere on Channel 4, Tuesday, March 25th at 10:00 PM. The full series will be available for streaming at midnight.
