Channel 4 has commissioned a new series from South Shore, titled The Glucose Goddess, which will explore the impact of blood sugar levels on overall wellbeing. The show is inspired by the work of French biochemist Jessie Inchauspé, also known as The Glucose Goddess, who has gained a significant following with her accessible approach to complex scientific concepts related to health and wellness.
Inchauspé challenges the traditional diet mindset and believes that managing blood glucose levels is key to improving physical and mental health. In the series, a group of individuals from across Britain will be monitored as they track how their diet affects their blood sugar levels and overall health.
Presenting a unique perspective on health and wellness, Inchauspé, assisted by Dr Rupy Aujla, will provide participants with her “glucose hacks” to enhance their wellbeing without a strict focus on calorie counting.
The two-part special is executive produced by Melanie Leach, joint CEO of South Shore, and Sam Grace, Head of South Shore Wales. It has been commissioned for Channel 4 by Clemency Green, Senior Commissioning Editor for Lifestyle, and Jo Street, Head of Lifestyle.
The Glucose Goddess is currently in pre-production and will air on Channel 4.
