Channel 4 Crime Thriller “Suspect” Series 2 Now Filming

The second season of the drama “Suspect,” created by Joy Wilkinson and David Allison and produced by Eagle Eye Drama, has officially begun filming. Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and BritBox International in the United States and Canada will carry the eight-part series in 2024, thanks to Fremantle’s international distribution.

The second season continues the story of Dr. Susannah Newman, played by Anne-Marie Duff, as she tries to track down a self-confessed serial killer. Dominic Cooper joins the cast as a mysterious new client who admits to being a murderer. Other new additions to the cast include Tamsin Greig, Vinette Robinson, Eddie Marsan, Celine Buckens, Nicholas Pinnock, and Gina McKee.

The series is directed by Carolina Giammetta and has been written by Joy Wilkinson and David Allison. The executive producers are Jo McGrath, Walter Iuzzolino, Reemah Sakaan, and Stephen Nye. The series is adapted from the Danish original “Forhøret” and is produced in association with Happy Duck Films and the Belgian Tax Shelter.

No specific transmission details have been announced yet, but Fremantle will handle global sales for the series.
