Charlie Cooper's Local Legends Set for BBC Three

BAFTA and RTS award-winning writer and actor Charlie Cooper, known for his work in This Country, is venturing into new territory with his upcoming factual series, Charlie Cooper’s Local Legends (working title), on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer. In this series, Cooper explores rural myths and legends across the UK, stepping out from his familiar role in This Country to showcase the quirky stories that define Britain’s countryside.

Cooper shares his enthusiasm for the project, “I’ve always been fascinated by local legends, myth and folklore. As I see it, my mission is to explore our ancient world, seek out mythical creatures and boldly go where no TV presenter has gone before.” The series, made by Naked West, a Fremantle label, will follow Cooper as he travels across the UK in his campervan, investigating a range of intriguing phenomena.
