The second season of Chateau DIY: Living the Dream premieres on More4 on Friday, catching up with British families who have taken on the ambitious challenge of purchasing and renovating French chateaux.
The opening episode revisits Tim and Krys, a couple who have already transformed two chateaux. After launching Château Monteil, they faced financial difficulties, leading them to move to their new property, Château Domaine de la Barde.
Château Domaine de la Barde, a former hotel that had been abandoned for a decade, requires extensive renovations. Tim, Krys, and their son Owen begin by restoring the formal gardens before turning their attention to the interior, where they plan to start a cookery business.
Their venture will focus on offering locally sourced ingredients and services, including events, cookery schools, and guest accommodations.
