The dream of owning a French château and restoring it to its former glory continues this Wednesday on Channel 4’s “Château DIY.” The series follows British families as they tackle ambitious renovation projects, transforming crumbling ruins into stunning homes. This time, the episode features a variety of challenges and design inspirations across several chateaux.
At Château La Grande Maison, Ben and Billie convert an old hallway into a tranquil lounge area, paying homage to a former resident, a botanist whose passion for plants inspires their design. Meanwhile, at Château de Pican, Jane and Rory take on a potentially hazardous task: removing a large tree precariously close to overhead power lines. And at Château de la Grillère, Sharon and Tim begin a massive undertaking – the installation of a 10-meter swimming pool, a project that starts with digging a very large hole.
The series continues to celebrate the passion and dedication of these château owners. “Château DIY” airs Wednesday, April 23rd at 5:00 PM GMT on Channel 4.
